Four More Firms to Participate in ONFI

The ONFI (Open NAND Flash Interface) working group, led by Intel, recently announced that four more companies, including Foxconn, ATI, Sigmatel, and Seagate, will become ONFI members. The first standard set for NAND flash developed by the ONFI, claimed to be available soon, will be applied to PCs, mobile phones, and multimedia devices. The ONFI's next wave of recruitment will aim at system makers and component suppliers.
